SDI has a strong founding team as faculty members, both from industry and academia bringing together a synergy of knowledge and application. This reflects in the designing and delivery of the courses. SDI incorporates the best methodologies from various pedagogical models and is creating an environment where knowledge creation, knowledge dissemination and knowledge application will co-exist and inspire each other.

Design is rapidly going through a phase of change and innovation due to the increasing consumer demand of preferred utility and comfort. This career not only provides one with the satisfaction of seeing ideas manifested into shape and form, but rewards one with recognition.
The Dean of RV University’s School of Design, Prof. Vinay Mundada brings with him 30+ years of personal design practice, with experience in design education, and administrative capabilities. An alumnus of IIT Bombay and VJTI, he has previously taught at Symbiosis and DSK World University. Prof. Mundana is someone who enjoys all aspects of design such as Electronic Product Design, Prototype development, Computer-Aided Design (CAD), Design Management, and User Interface Design. He looks forward to implementing a design curriculum having design methodology, aesthetic sensibilities coupled with technological advancements that enable “quality of living” across the socio-economic spectrum.

Applicants will undergo RVU selection Process depending on the course they have applied for and their score in RVSAT
Subject to fulfilment of eligibility and admission criteria, applicants shall be issued a selection letter.
Successful applicants in the above selection procedure shall be registered to the programme after receipt of registration fees as specified in the selection letter.
Upon completion of the selection procedure, applicants shall be notified about the admission and a Provisional Admission Letter shall be issued.
