“Dr. Kanish Debnath has a rich work experience of more than 9 years. Prior to joining RV University, he had been teaching under the Department of Economics at FLAME University for over six years. He has taught in both the undergraduate and the postgraduate programs in the University. His areas of expertise lie in Managerial, Developmental, and Behavioural Economics. He is technology savvy and is proficient in several open-source software.
At RV University, Dr. Debnath will play an important role in setting up a centre for business analytics. He is currently teaching in the BBA and BCom programs.
At FLAME University, Dr. Debnath played an integral part in setting up its’ Institutional Review Board for research ethics, and has been an active member of several administrative committees. He has been a joint recipient of a research grant from the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, and two internal grants.
Dr. Debnath completed the Fellow Programme in Management (equivalent to Ph.D.) from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad in 2016. During his program, he won the “NSE-IFMR Finance Foundation Financial Deepening & Household Finance Research Initiative” grant. He also worked under his Dissertation supervisor on multiple government-funded and privately-funded research projects. During 2014-2016, he was a Visiting Lecturer for the Masters in Agribusiness Economics program at Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics, Pune.
Prior to making his foray into academics, Dr. Debnath was a software engineer with Infosys Technologies Pvt. Ltd. for a little under three years. In this period, he worked on several web applications using JavaScript, SQL, and C# that still prove to be helpful to his work in the present day.”
