Aims/Objectives:
The Centre for Literary Studies and Translation at RV University, within the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences, is a research-driven initiative dedicated to interdisciplinary work in literature, translation, adaptation, and related forms of cultural production.
Mission and Scope
The Centre’s work embraces an expansive definition of “texts,” spanning literature, performance, music, film, graphic narratives, video games, and digital media. Integrating literary analysis with interdisciplinary perspectives, the Centre aims to deepen understanding of narrative forms and their cultural significance.
The Literary Studies Society
Open to all RV University students, the Literary Studies Society serves as the Centre’s student-led branch, offering a platform for literary engagement through discussions, creative writing workshops, competitions, seminars, and literary festivals.
RVU Literary Studies Quarterly
The Centre will publish RVU Literary Studies Quarterly, a journal featuring student contributions in creative and analytical writing, encouraging intellectual exchange across disciplines.
Through its research, publications, and student-led initiatives, the Centre for Literary Studies and Translation aims to promote critical exploration of both traditional and contemporary cultural forms.
