The Library by Brigade is a striking blend of architecture, innovation and academic purpose. From the moment you enter, you’re welcomed by intricate wall art and manuscript-inspired installations that set the tone for reflection and discovery.
Across four expansive floors, the library houses digital pods, collaborative zones, and quiet reading spaces, all equipped with cutting-edge technology and global research access.
Purposefully created for seamless learning and exploration, the library reflects RVU’s vision for a future-forward, student-centred academic environment. Supported by the Brigade Foundation, it is both a landmark and a learning companion.
As a hybrid library, it houses an extensive and continually expanding collection of books, scholarly journals, magazines, and multimedia resources. In addition, it offers access to globally renowned academic databases such as JSTOR, EBSCO, and IEEE, enabling students, researchers and faculty to stay at the forefront of knowledge and innovation.
The library is fully automated through the LIBSOFT Library Management System and enabled with RFID technology for seamless circulation and smart surveillance. With multimedia systems and Wi-Fi-enabled reading areas, the library fosters an immersive research environment.
Our dedicated library staff ensures round-the-clock support to the RVU community, guiding learners in accessing and navigating resources effectively. Their expertise ensures that information is not only accessible but also impactful.

Circulation
The library follows an Open Access System. One can pick any book of their choice from the shelves and may refer or borrow it.
Reference
The library has a good collection of reference books. The reference books are meant to refer within the library and cannot be borrowed.
Inter Library Loan (ILL)
RVU library is networked with other Institutional libraries and also subscribed to DELNET to facilitate Inter Library Loan.
Internet & Wifi Facility
The library has 10 computer terminals for internet use and to access e-resources. Internet and Wi-Fi facilities are available in the library.
Plagiarism Check
The RVU Library offers plagiarism-checking services using Turnitin and DrillBit. By allowing users to check for similarity themselves, the library promotes academic integrity and upholds a standard of honesty, fairness, responsibility, respect, and courage for all students.
CAS & SDI Service
The library provides updates on the latest content received and shares important news. We also offer Selective Dissemination of Information (SDI) services, delivering tailored content to users in their respective fields and subject areas upon request.
Email & WhatsApp Alerts
The library sends an alert on new arrivals, current awareness and important news and news clippings through WhatsApp and Email. Also keeps users updated about their library transactions.
User Orientation
The Library offers information literacy and user orientation program to its users on library facilities, services and the subscribed resources.
Library Working Hours
The library is open from 9:00 AM to 8 PM on all working days.
