About ICFESF 2026

The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) cover a wide range of issues, including poverty, health, education, gender equality, clean water and climate action. India, being the most populous nation and one of the fastest-growing economies, is an important stakeholder in achieving these global goals.

India is grappling with tough challenges to achieve the SDGs, and therefore requires evidence-based research and policymaking to meet the SDGs. Given India’s significant position in the global landscape and its huge economic aspirations, building a more sustainable, inclusive, and resilient economy is crucial and imperative.

In this context, the School of Economics and Public Policy, RV University in collaboration with The Indian Economic Association, is organizing a two-day international conference in February, 2026. This conference will bring together scholars, policymakers, and other stakeholders to discuss the progress, challenges, and solutions for sustainable development in the Indian context. By bringing together a diverse range of stakeholders, the conference aims to inspire actionable outcomes that will contribute towards a sustainable, equitable, and progressive India.

The conference will serve as a dynamic platform for presenting cutting-edge research that can advance the theoretical and empirical understanding of sustainable development, facilitating discussions on policy actions that can accelerate the SDGs journey.
