About

A design professional with a strong academic foundation—holding a Bachelor of Design from the NIFT, Kangra and a Master of Design from the NID, Ahmedabad—my journey in textiles combines academic rigor with practical application.

Over the past ten years, I have gained extensive experience in print and pattern development, fabric innovation, trend research, and sustainable design practices. My professional journey has equipped me with a broad perspective on the evolving role of textiles in fashion, interiors, and lifestyle products.

As an academician, my teaching philosophy emphasises critical engagement with materials, exploration of both traditional and contemporary techniques, and fostering design thinking as a problem-solving tool. I am deeply committed to guiding students in developing not only technical expertise but also creative confidence, preparing them to contribute meaningfully to the dynamic field of textile design.

My research interests lie in the intersection of craft traditions, material innovation, and sustainable design solutions, and I aim to integrate these dimensions into both pedagogy and practice.
