About

Vinay M. N is an Assistant Professor at the School of Design and Innovation, RV University, Bengaluru, with over 14 years of experience in product design, innovation ecosystems, and design education. Holding a Master’s degree in Product Design, he brings together creativity, systems thinking, and a human-centred approach to guide students in their academic and innovation journeys. Vinay has contributed extensively to the innovation ecosystem as an MHRD Innovation Ambassador, Smart India Hackathon mentor, head of an Innovation & Entrepreneurship Cell, and evaluator for multiple national hackathons and design challenges. He has also executed high-impact community projects under Unnat Bharat Abhiyan. His contributions have earned him multiple faculty excellence awards. Beyond academics, Vinay is involved in growing Miyawaki forests, natural farming, and works as a rainwater harvesting consultant. He has also served as an SAE Collegiate Club Faculty Advisor and received a recognition award from SAE. His creative practice extends into bird photography and 3D modelling. A proud RVCE alumnus, he continues to integrate nature, design, and innovation toward meaningful impact.
