The National Cadet Corps (NCC) at RV University is offered as a University Elective/Multi-disciplinary Elective in line with UGC guidelines.
The NCC at RVU blends leadership, discipline, civic responsibility and physical training into the academic experience.
The National Cadet Corps (NCC) at RV University, proudly functioning as 3/3 Company, under 6 Karnataka Battalion, NCC, is more than just a student activity – it is a transformational journey that blends discipline, adventure, and service to the nation.
Since its establishment in September 2022, the NCC unit at RVU has been a hub of energy and excellence. Cadets here don’t just wear the uniform – they carry the spirit of leadership, resilience, and patriotism. From precision on the parade ground to courage in adventure camps, from serving society through awareness drives to representing Karnataka & Goa Directorate at prestigious camps like RDC, TSC, and All India Treks, RVU cadets have carved a mark of pride.
With eyes set on the Youth Exchange Program (YEP), our cadets aspire to represent India on the global stage – building bridges of friendship, culture, and leadership across nations.
At RVU, NCC is not just about training; it is about becoming the best version of oneself – a disciplined scholar, a confident leader, and a responsible citizen dedicated to nation-building.

Student’s Achievements
How to join NCC at RV University?
- Physically fit, mentally strong, and medically fit students are eligible to join NCC.
- Candidates must fulfil all requirements laid down in the NCC Selection Procedure.
- Interested students should keep their documents (ID proof, Aadhaar, photographs, medical fitness certificate, and parent consent) ready at the time of enrolment.
Enrolment Procedure
- Notification – Enrolment drive is announced at the beginning of the academic year.
- Application Submission – Students submit enrolment forms and required documents to the NCC office.
- Initial Screening – Preliminary shortlisting is done based on physical fitness and basic eligibility.
- Final Selection – Candidates undergo the final round of selection conducted by the Unit PI Staff and are interviewed by the Commanding Officer (CO), 6 Karnataka Battalion NCC.
- Orientation & Training – Selected cadets are officially enrolled into 3/3 Coy, 6 Karnataka Battalion, NCC and begin training/parade sessions.

It gives me immense pride to witness the journey of NCC at RV University since its inception. The National Cadet Corps is not just an organization; it is a movement that transforms young students into disciplined, confident, and responsible citizens of tomorrow.
At RVU, our NCC cadets embody the highest values of discipline, leadership, and service to the nation. Each parade, camp, and activity are not just training, but a step towards shaping their character and preparing them to face life with courage and resilience. The exposure they gain—whether through social service, inter-college competitions, or prestigious camps like RDC, TSC, and YEP—strengthens their sense of duty and instils in them the spirit of nation-building.
As an NCC Officer, my vision is to see our cadets grow into leaders who inspire, citizens who serve selflessly, and professionals who uphold integrity in every walk of life. I encourage every student to seize the opportunities NCC offers, to challenge themselves, and to contribute towards society and the nation with pride.
