Dr. Mayank Mathur is an accomplished academician and industry veteran with over two decades of multifaceted experience across the domains of data analytics, product development, and technology strategy. An alumnus of the prestigious IIT Bombay, IIM Bangalore, and IIM Lucknow, he exemplifies the rare combination of technical excellence, managerial acumen, and academic rigor. Currently serving as Associate Professor – Information Systems at Alliance University, Bangalore, he continues to inspire the next generation of business leaders through courses in Design Thinking, Digital Transformation, and Statistical Analysis.

Dr. Mathur’s journey spans 21+ years in the global IT industry with leadership roles at marquee organizations such as Oracle, SAP Labs, Cisco, and SuccessFactors. His expertise lies in developing data-driven products and managing large-scale analytics initiatives. He has also been a serial entrepreneur, co-founding startups like Cellula and Asankhya Analytics, where he plays a pivotal role in delivery and innovation.

Transitioning seamlessly into academia, he has held positions at FLAME University, ISB Hyderabad, IIIT Hyderabad, and NMIMS, among others. At ISB, he served as Academic Director – Institute of Data Sciences, guiding advanced research and program development.

His doctoral research explored the impact of mergers and acquisitions on technology firms, leading to multiple international publications. His work on the macroeconomic implications of UPI in India and IT’s role in national development has been widely cited.

Dr. Mathur has also filed patents in disease detection and financial fraud analytics, further showcasing his commitment to innovation.
