Dr. Soumen Ghosh holds a PhD from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai. His doctoral research focused on examining the social sustainability landscape within India’s leather supply chain. Before joining RV University, he served as a Visiting Faculty at TISS, Tuljapur, where he taught Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, International Economics, and Development Economics to undergraduate students. At RV University, Dr. Ghosh teaches both undergraduate and postgraduate students, with a focus on Macroeconomics, Development Economics, Labour Economics, the Green Economy, and Life Cycle Assessment. In addition to his academic role, he is actively involved in non-academic responsibilities as well. His research interests encompass Labour Economics, Sustainability Transitions, Social Dialogue, Social Life Cycle Assessment, and related areas. Dr. Ghosh has published in reputed journals and presented his research at both national and international conferences.

This grant facilitated his participation in the conference, allowing him to present his research to a broader academic audience.

  • Young Researchers Grant (June 2019) He was the recipient of the Young Researchers Grant from Tata Trust in June 2019. This grant, awarded by the Doctoral Student Office (DSO) at TISS, Mumbai, provided crucial support for his MPhil research, helping him to conduct his primary study in a significant manner.
