Tanmoy Goswami is an Electronics and Instrumentation Engineer turned television professional whose journey into cinema has been no less cinematic.
Born in the early ’90s into a Bengali family deeply rooted in Indian classical music and Bengali literature, Tanmoy’s artistic sensibilities were nurtured from childhood. His early interests in painting and analog photography gradually evolved into creative writing during his college years, eventually drawing him into mainstream filmmaking.
With nearly 14 years of experience in the television industry, he has worked with several prestigious media networks including Viacom18, Disney Star, Zee, ABP, and others. Over the years, he has contributed to more than 25 television series and 3,000+ episodes as a writer, director, and creative producer. He has also served briefly as Senior Manager – Station Programming at Radio Mirchi.
An MA in Mass Communication & Journalism, Tanmoy has been actively involved in academia, mentoring aspiring filmmakers through hands-on workshops and innovative teaching practices. He has served as visiting faculty in the Department of Media Science & Journalism at Brainware University and in the Department of Film & Television at Inspiria Knowledge Campus. He has also conducted filmmaking workshops across various film schools in India.
Currently, he is an Assistant Professor in the School of Film, Media, and Creative Arts (SoFMCA) at RV University. His areas of specialization include Screenwriting, Direction, Production, and Film Festival Curation.
