About IQAC

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) is a statutory body established in accordance with the guidelines of the NAAC with the primary objective of developing a system for conscious, consistent, and catalytic improvement in the overall performance of the University.

IQAC plays a pivotal role in institutionalizing quality assurance strategies and processes, ensuring that academic, administrative, and infrastructural practices are aligned with national and international standards. The Cell functions as a central mechanism for planning, guiding, and monitoring quality-related initiatives across all Schools of the University.

The IQAC fosters a culture of excellence by promoting innovation in teaching-learning processes, strengthening research and extension activities, enhancing student support services, and encouraging stakeholder participation in overall development.

Objectives of IQAC

The key objectives of IQAC are:

  1. To develop a quality assurance framework for continuous improvement in teaching, learning, research, and governance.
  2. To establish mechanisms for periodic academic and administrative audits.
  3. To facilitate the creation of a learner-centric environment supported by modern pedagogical tools and technologies.
  4. To collect, analyze, and utilize feedback from students and other stakeholders for quality enhancement.
  5. To ensure effective documentation of all quality-related initiatives.
  6. To prepare the University for accreditation, ranking, and benchmarking exercises.
  7. To promote best practices and institutional values in line with national education policies.

Functions of IQAC

IQAC performs the following key functions:

  • Development and application of quality benchmarks and performance indicators.
  • Facilitation of learner-centric teaching-learning methods and evaluation reforms.
  • Organization of workshops, seminars, and training programmes for faculty and staff on quality enhancement.
  • Establishment of a robust feedback system involving students, alumni, parents, and employers.
  • Documentation of academic and administrative activities for internal review and external accreditation.
  • Conduct of Internal Academic and Administrative Audits (AAA).
  • Preparation and submission of Annual Quality Assurance Reports (AQAR).
  • Promotion of research culture, innovation, and best practices.
  • Monitoring of institutional performance through measurable outcomes and KPIs.
  • Coordination of accreditation and ranking processes.
