Dr. Prakash S. Goudanavar is a distinguished academician and researcher with over 26 years of combined experience in the pharmaceutical industry and academia. He currently serves as Professor and Dean of the School of Pharmacy at RV University, Mysuru. With a strong commitment to academic excellence and innovation, Dr. Goudanavar has played a pivotal role in shaping pharmacy education through curriculum development, research mentoring, and institutional leadership.

His core areas of expertise include novel drug delivery systems, nanotechnology-based formulations, and Quality by Design (QbD)-driven pharmaceutical development. He has made significant contributions to advancing formulation science, focusing on improving therapeutic efficacy, safety, and patient compliance. His research work is reflected in numerous publications in reputed national and international journals, along with presentations at leading scientific conferences.

Dr. Goudanavar is an active member of professional bodies such as the Controlled Release Society (CRS), Indian Pharmaceutical Association (IPA), and Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India (APTI). Ferroptosis-centered strategies: redefining therapeutic resistance & adaptation in modern oncology. Apoptosis 2026 Ferroptosis is a new regulated cell death process, independent of apoptosis, necroptosis, and pyroptosis, which offers a promising therapeutic opportunity characterised by iron-dependent lipid peroxidation and mitochondrial membrane condensation. This has the advantage of being able to bypass the caspase-independent mechanism, thus avoiding apoptosis resistance in heterogeneous and drug-refractory tumours.

Green analytical evaluation of anticancer drug analysis: A multi-tool assessment of HPLC and LC–MS methods. Exploring the potential of a quick and simultaneous DoE-based stability indicating novel RP-HPLC method for the estimation of capecitabine and curcumin in biodegradable nanoparticles and human plasma. Journal of Chromatography B, 2025 There is solid evidence that capecitabine (CAP) and curcumin (CUR) can alleviate symptoms of a wide range of illnesses. A fast and specific RP-HPLC method was designed and validated according to ICH requirements, employing an isosbestic point. This technology was chosen for its drug delivery application and synergistic effects of CAP and CUR as no HPLC approach has been documented to estimate and quantify both medicines simultaneously.

Neurological disorders require sophisticated therapeutic agent delivery approaches because the blood–brain barrier acts as a strong barrier to drug passage. Traditional drug delivery methods through oral or intravenous routes prove ineffective because they provide poor bioavailability while causing systemic toxicity through invasive procedures so better delivery systems are necessary.
