With over 30 years of extensive experience across various domains, Dr Anand James has carved a career at the intersection of design, academia, and industry. Holding a PhD in Design Management and a Master’s degree in Design from IIT Bombay, James brings a blend of deep academic knowledge and practical industry expertise.
For the past 30 years, James has held key academic and administrative positions at renowned institutions both in India and abroad. These roles have been central to shaping future design professionals, guiding research, and establishing curricula in the fields of design, media and business management.
In addition to academic accomplishments, James have a rich industry experience spanning television, feature films, sound design, music, animation, interaction design, and fine arts. This professional journey has included consulting roles and collaborations with global brands, where James contributed to the creation of innovative products and services that bridge the gap between creativity and technology.
Key areas of expertise include creativity, entrepreneurship, graphic design, media and entertainment, storytelling, moving imagery, design management, business model innovation, and new product development.
