About
Dr. Darshan S. is an Assistant Professor in the School of Economics and Business, RV University, Bengaluru, with over 13 years of academic and administrative experience in commerce and management education. His areas of expertise include Accounting, Finance, Taxation, Business Analytics, Financial Analytics, Artificial Intelligence in Finance, and Data Analytics. He is passionate about integrating emerging technologies such as Power BI, Python, Machine Learning, and AI into teaching and research to create industry-relevant learning experiences.
He holds a Ph.D. in Commerce, along with M.Com, MFA, and KSET qualifications. Dr. Darshan has previously served in leadership and academic positions at institutions including CHRIST (Deemed to be University) and KLE Society, contributing to curriculum development, academic quality initiatives, and institutional administration.
An active researcher, he has published papers in ABDC, Scopus-indexed, and peer-reviewed journals, authored university-level textbooks, and presented his research at numerous national and international conferences. His research interests include financial markets, corporate finance, business analytics, mergers and acquisitions, financial technology, and AI-driven decision-making. He is also the co-inventor of multiple registered designs in the domains of AI-enabled finance and enterprise analytics.
Beyond teaching and research, Dr. Darshan regularly conducts faculty development programmes, workshops, and executive training sessions on Power BI, Financial Analytics, Research Methodology, and Data Analysis for academic institutions and industry professionals. His teaching philosophy centres on experiential learning, critical thinking, and preparing students with analytical and ethical competencies to excel in a rapidly evolving business environment.
This registered design presents an innovative AI-enabled handheld device developed to support finance analytics and intelligent business decision-making. The design integrates financial visualization with advanced data-processing capabilities to improve analytical efficiency for educators, researchers, students, and finance professionals. The innovation reflects the growing convergence of artificial intelligence, finance, and digital transformation and highlights the practical application of emerging technologies in business education and financial analytics.
