Procedure & Functions Of Anti-Ragging Committee :

  1. The Vice-Chancellor shall be the Chairperson of the committee
  2. Quorum for the meeting shall be Six Members
  3. The agenda and notice of the meeting shall be issued TWO weeks before the scheduled date and time.
  4. A hard copy and a soft copy of the proceedings of the meeting, duly signed by the members in attendance shall be in custody of the ‘Registrar, RV University’.
  5. ARC shall conduct meetings TWO times a year (Jan, Aug) or as per the decision of the Chairperson. The committee shall submit a half yearly report, even though there are no cases to report, a NIL report will have to be submitted.
  6. The committee shall perform the following functions
    • Review the UGC Notification 2009 and take necessary steps to fulfil the actions mentioned therein.
    • Review revised / additional notification issued by Central and State Government and the regulatory authorities at regular intervals and take necessary corrective actions.
    • RV University name must be included in the UGC – Anti-Ragging website
    • Constituted Anti-Ragging Squads (ARS) and monitoring procedures.
    • Ensure weekly reports and action taken are submitted by the ARS, particularly at the beginning of the academic year as specified by UGC.
    • Conduct awareness workshops for students, faculty and staff on a regular basis.
    • Take steps to put display boards prepared and circulated by UGC.
    • It is MANDATORY for both students and parents / guardians to sign the anti-ragging affidavit at the time of admissions.
Duration/Tenure:

The term of office for ARC nominated members shall be for THREE years, for all other members it is conterminous with them relinquishing the respective office.
