In accordance with the UGC regulations on Curbing the Menace of Ragging in Higher educational institutions, 209 (under section 26(1)(g) of the University grants commission Act, 1956), the Anti Ragging Squad has been constituted with following members:

Procedures and Functions of Anti-Ragging Squad:

The members of the anti-ragging squad are to be nominated by the Vice-Chancellor with the representation as may be considered necessary from the campus community only.

  1. The Anti-ragging squad shall submit its report to the Anti-Ragging Committee.
  2. The functions of anti-ragging squads shall be
    • To keep a vigil and stop the incidences of Ragging, if any, happening/reported in the places of student aggregation includes classrooms, canteens, buses, grounds, hostels etc.
    • To conduct on the spot enquiry into any incident of ragging.
    • The Squad will also educate the students at large by adopting various means about the menace of ragging and related punishments.
