About

Dr. C. H. Patil is an accomplished academician with over 20+ years of teaching and 5+ years of leadership experience in higher education, research and administration. He currently serves as Professor & Dean, School of Engineering, RV University, Mysuru. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and serves as an approved Ph.D. supervisor, having successfully guided 3 Ph.D. scholars.

His academic contributions include total 66 research papers out of that 22 Scopus-indexed international journal publications, 44 Scopus indexed international conference papers, 8 patents (5 granted), 3 copyrights published, and multiple books and book chapters. He has a deep research interest in Digital Image Processing, NLP, Medical Imaging, and AI-based numeral recognition. Beyond research, He had led curriculum design, faculty development, accreditation, and chaired key academic bodies like the Board of Studies.

He is external subject expert member of BoS for various autonomous colleges in Maharashtra. He was also a member of Academic Council, and IQAC. He also served as Entrance Exam Committee Chair across several academic cycles. Passionate about integrating research, innovation, and quality practices in education to shape future-ready institutions and learners. Research Guidance- 3 Ph.D. Scholars awarded under his supervision. Passionate about Academics, Engineering Teaching Methodology, Academic administration, Research beneficial for society, rankings and accreditations. He has an expertise in setting up new departments. Data oriented leadership. Expert in setting up processes.
