Dr. M. Manimekalai is an Assistant Professor in the School of Computer Science and Engineering at RV University, Bengaluru, specializing in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. She has over 15 years of professional experience spanning higher education, software testing, quality assurance, academic administration, research, and student mentoring.

Her areas of specialization include Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cybersecurity, Natural Language Processing, Software Testing and Quality Assurance, Intelligent Systems, and Emerging Technologies. Her research focuses on AI-driven cybersecurity, anomaly detection, adaptive intelligent systems, software defect prediction, multi-agent systems, and intelligent software testing.

Dr. Manimekalai holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Bharathiar University, along with an M.Phil. in Computer Science, M.Sc. in Information Technology, BCA in Computer Applications, and MCA in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. She is UGC-NET qualified in Computer Science and Applications and holds an Honours Diploma in Computer Applications (HDCA) and ISTQB–ISEB Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL).

She has contributed to research through Web of Science and Scopus indexed publications, peer-reviewed journal and conference publications, an academic book, a Scopus-indexed Springer book chapter, and patent applications. Her research includes the MARTO framework for adaptive cybersecurity and intelligent botnet detection, AI-based anomaly detection, software defect prediction, software testing, and emerging technologies including IoT.

She has participated in 40+ Faculty Development Programmes and completed 50+ online courses and professional certifications, including courses from NPTEL (IIT Madras/IIT Kharagpur) and Google, covering areas such as Python, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, and emerging technologies. She has also participated in 30+ national and international seminars/webinars and 6+ workshops. Her academic contributions include serving as an External Examiner, Central Valuation Examiner, Reviewer, Resource Person, Academic Coordinator, Project Guide, and student mentor.
