Dr. Santosha C D brings a rich multidisciplinary background in academics, research, and data analytics, with a specialization in Statistics. His research interests include parametric and non-parametric statistics, statistical inference based on ranked set sampling, and its various extensions. A prolific contributor to the field, he has published numerous articles in national and international journals and has presented extensively at conferences worldwide.
Dr. Santosha holds both Master’s degree and a Ph.D. in Statistics from the University of Mysore. With over 16 years of experience in teaching (at Ph.D., postgraduate, and undergraduate levels), research, and data analytics, he has a proven track record of academic excellence. His professional journey began at the Centre for Budget and Policy Studies as a Research Assistant. He then served as an Assistant Professor in Biostatistics at the All India Institute of Speech and Hearing, Mysuru, for eight years. Subsequently, he worked as Program Chairperson and Assistant Professor at NMIMS (Deemed-to-be University), Bengaluru, where he contributed to the B.Sc. (Applied Statistics and Analytics) and B.Sc. (Data Science) programs at the School of Mathematics, Applied Statistics, and Analytics (SOMASA). He has also been a faculty member at the School of Business and Management, Christ University, Bengaluru.
Dr. Santosha has played a pivotal role in organizing conferences and training programs, particularly during his tenure at the All India Institute of Speech and Hearing, Mysuru. He has been a sought-after resource person for workshops and training sessions on the application of Statistics across diverse fields, including social sciences, education, health sciences, management, food science, nutrition, and anthropology, leveraging statistical software like SPSS.
A seasoned data analyst, Dr. Santosha has delivered statistical analyses for over 200 Ph.D. theses and more than 2,000 postgraduate dissertations across disciplines such as food science and nutrition, human development, social sciences, pharmacy, management, and engineering. His expertise spans descriptive statistics, parametric and non-parametric tests, regression modelling, ANOVA, MANOVA, principal component analysis, cluster analysis, and discriminant analysis.
