Future events planned
Hackathons – The Center for Distributed Computing will hold Hackathons for our undergraduate students in the realms of Big Data Processing, Federated Cloud Computing, Processing data from IoT devices, Developing SaaS (Software as a Service) etc.
UG Course offering β Serverless computing, is a new cloud native architecture which is supported by all major cloud providers. Many cloud software apps are now being developed using the Serverless model, where the framework handles application scaling.
Internships β Internships will be offered to interested students where focused problem definitions will be provided to them. Working on these problems will allow the students to work on a part of a larger research problem, and equip them with technical and non-technical skills that are required in industry and academia.
Guest Lectures – The Center for Distributed Computing will hold guest lectures on upcoming, relevant topics. A few topics identified for immediate delivery are:
1. Serverless Computing
2. Virtualization on the Cloud – a boon or bane
3. Microservices – The What, Where and How
4. An Insight into High Performance Computing
