About

Dhee Center is an interdisciplinary research and education center focusing on the study, development and applications of advanced computational and statistical methods to extract knowledge and insights from large and complex data sets.

This involves developing algorithms and techniques in the fields of data mining, data visualization, machine learning. including deep learning, computer vision, natural language processing, and reinforcement learning, and organizing conferences to disseminate the research results.

In addition to research, the Center will also offer educational programs, such as undergraduate and graduate courses, seminars, workshops, and certificate programs, to help students and professionals develop the skills needed to work in the fields of AI and data science. The focus will evolve according to the interests of the stakeholders.

In its first year, the research focus is on applications in the domain of healthcare, in particular, applications of image segmentation for tracing and making predictions, in the domains of dentistry and neuroscience. This involves forraying collaborations with domain experts.

Academic focus would be on designing and developing curriculum and courses for:

1. AI/ ML specialization courses for BTech Computer Science

2. BSc Honors Data Science

3. Minors in Data Science/ AI for degrees other than Computer Science and Data Science and degree programs other than the School of Computer Science and Engineering

4. A one-year certificate course in Data Analysis

5. A two-year Advanced Post Graduate Diploma course in Data Science and Machine Learning

6. M.Tech Data Science for working professionals
