Overview

The Centre for Health Law and Ethics at School of Law, RV University aims to mobilize new ideas by way of research to affect policies and legislations at the national and international level .This Centre will function as a Think Tank and would enable in strengthening the public health sector as the primary provider of promotive, preventive, and curative health services in India and provide for an integrated approach to include the private health care sector to achieve health care for all.

This Centre shall involve all stakeholders concerned in exploring the issues on any area of health, analyse and critique the existing regulatory and policy framework and make recommendations for future regulatory policies wherever required. This synergy and Partnerships of Expert knowledge would facilitate in aligning future course of actions for better Health.

Objectives

• Constant engagement in high-quality research in identified areas of Health law with an aim to improve the quality, accessibility and affordability of health care delivery and betterment of individual’s health parameters
• Pro-active engagement in policy formulation, policy reforms and advocacy exercise to bring greater justiciability to individual’s right to health’
• Publication of Research Papers, White-Papers etc. pertaining to contemporary areas of health
• Establish a ‘Platform’ for stakeholders to deliberate on issues of contemporary relevance which shall bring much needed cooperation between relevant agencies
• Development of suitable ‘Training modules’ in specialized areas of health
• Constantly network among various stakeholders to understand the Issues/challenges and provide an active platform for constant dialogues regarding issues that are of utmost concern. This synergy and Partnerships of Expert knowledge would facilitate in aligning future course of actions for better Health
• Focused (Advanced) Programmes to Sectoral leaders
• Customized courses to specialized medical professionals.
