About the Speaker:
Anubhav Raj Shekhar is an Assistant Professor (Law) at the Jindal Global Law School. He graduated with a B.A. LL.B. degree from the National Law Institute University (NLIU) at Bhopal (2017), and holds an LL.M. (2019) with a specialization in Law and Development from Azim Premji University. He attended the University of Oxford to read a master’s in Modern South Asian Studies (2023). After graduating from NLIU, he was offered an in-house position with Wipro Ltd., where he contributed as a transactional lawyer handling communications and consultancy contracts. Before joining JGLS, Anubhav taught Constitutional Law, and Criminal Procedure, and offered an elective on Law and Religion at the BML Munjal University, Gurugram. Building upon his experience, Anubhav’s current research interests lie in exploring the colonial foundations of India’s jurisprudence on freedom of religion, and questions that relate to access to justice. He is passionate about teaching and developing new methods to ensure comprehensive skill-based learning.
