About the Speaker:
Dr. Hasan Akhtar is an Assistant Professor (Environmental Science) at, the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences at RV University. Hasan is a biogeochemist with a keen interest in studying the carbon dynamics of terrestrial ecosystems. He completed his Postdoctoral research at the University of Exeter, UK. Before this, he worked as a Research Fellow at the Environmental Research Institute, National University of Singapore (NUS). Hasan holds a Ph.D. in Physical Geography from NUS. He will present insights from his collaborative journal article that has recently been published in Nature Biofilms and Microbiomes
