Shri. Arun Balakrishnan

Shri Arun Balakrishnan superannuated as Chairman & Managing Director of Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL), in 2010. After his graduation in Chemical Engineering, he completed his Post Graduation in Management from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore in 1976. He joined Hindustan Petroleum Corpn Ltd. as a Management Trainee in 1976 and rose to join the Board of HPCL as Director of Human Resources in January 2002 and in April 2007 became the Chairman & Managing Director. He is the Founder Chairman of HPCL-Mittal Energy Ltd. (HMEL), a Joint Venture Refining Company of HPCL and L.N. Mittal Investments at Bathinda in Punjab.
