Dr. Abidha V P is an Assistant Professor at RV University, Bangalore. She completed her postdoctoral research at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) under the supervision of Mordecai Golin and Amir Goharshadey. Her postdoctoral work delved into the intricacies of the Bitcoin network, Blockchain Technology, and Graph algorithms. Dr. Abidha earned her Ph.D. from the International Institute of Information Technology, Bangalore (IIIT-B). Her doctoral research was deeply rooted in Theoretical Computer Science, focusing on the geometric bi-chromatic separability problem and the Red Blue Set Cover problem using axis-parallel hyperplanes, approached from both parameterized and optimization perspectives. Among her innovative contributions is the introduction of the subset square coloring scheme, which explores its parameterized complexity under various structural parameters. Her exemplary work in the field was honored with the Best Student Research Paper Presentation Award at the 17th International Computer Science Symposium in Russia (CSR 2022). Additionally, she was the recipient of the prestigious TCS Research Fellowship during her Ph.D. Dr. Abidha’s academic journey commenced with an M-Tech and a B-Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from Government Engineering College Idukki. During her Master’s program, she worked on a thesis project in collaboration with Prof. Meenakshi D’souza and Dr. Gracy Philip, focusing on formal verification. Their collaborative efforts resulted in a paper titled “Model-Based Safety Analysis: Automatic Generation of Safety Validation and Test Cases,” which was presented at the 36th IEEE Digital Avionics Systems Conference 2017 in Florida. With her extensive research experience and innovative contributions to computer science, Dr. Abidha V P continues to inspire and lead in her role at RV University, fostering a new generation of scholars and researchers.
