As a faculty researcher in engineering and applied physics, my passion lies in unraveling the complexities of materials through defect characterization using positrons and lifetime spectroscopy. My doctoral research focused on Topological Insulators, where I successfully demonstrated the existence of a positron surface state using Positron Annihilation induced Auger Electron Spectroscopy (PAES). This was a first-of-its-kind measurement, opening new avenues for understanding these novel materials. My master’s work involved measuring the low energy tail in a spectrum down to 0 eV using APECS at Brookhaven National Lab.
Currently, I’m engaged in exciting projects. One, funded by UGC-DAE CSR, utilizes Positron lifetime spectroscopy to investigate inter-granular corrosion. The other, a BIRAC project, aims to develop an innovative ultrasonic dental scaler tip using laser surface texturing and ceramic coatings. These projects allow me to combine my research interests with practical applications.
Teaching is another core aspect of my professional life. During my previous tenures, I teach physics to undergraduate students and have introduced new global elective courses like Thin Film Nano-Device Fabrication Technology and Introduction to Astrophysics. I strive to create a student-centric learning environment and mentor students in research projects. My dedication to teaching has been recognized through publications and participation in faculty development programs. I’m committed to fostering a new generation of scientists and engineers equipped with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills.
I am an Assistant Professor at RV University, dedicated to fostering academic excellence and inspiring students to explore innovative solutions in the field of technology. I hold a master’s degree from Amity University, where I developed a strong foundation in both theoretical and practical aspects of computer science.
My expertise lies in Python programming, web technologies, and database management, areas in which I have both taught . I am passionate about integrating modern teaching methods with hands-on learning experiences, ensuring students are industry-ready upon graduation.
In addition to my teaching responsibilities, I have worked on several machine learning (ML) projects, which have enhanced my ability to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world applications. These projects have allowed me to explore innovative problem-solving approaches and contribute to the growing field of artificial intelligence.
I am committed to mentoring students, encouraging them to think critically and develop innovative solutions to real-world problems. My goal is to create an engaging and supportive learning environment that empowers students to reach their full potential.
I am a dedicated researcher and educator with a strong passion for Biomedical Image Analysis, focusing on the early detection of ovarian tumors and PCOD, conditions that significantly impact young adults. With advancements in technology, I am committed to leveraging cutting-edge image processing and AI-driven diagnostic tools to enable early detection and intervention. My ultimate goal is to reduce suffering and improve the quality of life for those affected by these conditions.
Beyond research, teaching is my true calling. As a faculty member, I strive to create an engaging learning environment where students can discover their potential, develop critical thinking skills, and prepare to become the future leaders of our nation. I believe that every student has unique capabilities, and my mission is to help them unlock their strengths, gain confidence, and excel in their respective fields.
Through my work in both research and education, I aim to bridge the gap between academia and real-world applications, ensuring that technological advancements translate into meaningful healthcare solutions. My journey is driven by the vision of a healthier society, where early diagnosis prevents long-term suffering, and where students are empowered to contribute to scientific progress.
