Dr. Sayendri Panchadhyayi

Sayendri teaches Sociology at the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences. She has a B.A. (hons.), M.A., M.Phil. and Ph.D. in Sociology. She is appointed as an Associate at the Centre for Care, housed within the University of Sheffield, UK. Post-PhD, she was a Research Fellow at the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta and worked on ‘Healthcare inequalities in India: Mapping actors, logics and care practices’. She was an International Visiting Scholar in the Department of Sociological Studies, University of Sheffield.

She has a wide experience of teaching in both undergraduate and postgraduate levels in Scottish Church College, Lady Brabourne College, Muralidhar Girls’ College, IGNOU, Presidency University, Rabindra Bharati University and National Law School of India University. Based on her experience of teaching across resource-settings she harnesses a range of methods like scaffolding, visual aids, multi-sensorial learning, mobile methods, learning curve track and supervised learning, peer feedback, student-centred active learning, and blended learning for long-term learning outcome.

She is the co-founder of Sabr – a people’s collaborative that aims to bridge the gap between academia and the public on questions of care. She is an editorial member of En-Gender, an independent early-career scholar-led academic platform, and an invited member to EASA-AGENET. Beside these, she has delivered scholarly talks at Manipal Academy of Higher Education, The Ayah and Amah International Research Network (housed within LSE), Presidency University, Centre for Care, Global South Hub – CSSR, George Mason University, VIT-AP, Covid in the House of Old Exhibit organized by the Centre for Oral History and Digital Storytelling, and the Montreal History Group, and Jamshedpur Workers’ College, Kolhan University. She will be delivering a special lecture for the Department of Social and Political Sciences, University of Milan on her fieldwork journey at the peak of Covid-19.

Dr. Soumen Ghosh

Dr. Soumen Ghosh holds a PhD from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai. His doctoral research focused on examining the social sustainability landscape within India’s leather supply chain. Before joining RV University, he served as a Visiting Faculty at TISS, Tuljapur, where he taught Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, International Economics, and Development Economics to undergraduate students. At RV University, Dr. Ghosh teaches both undergraduate and postgraduate students, with a focus on Macroeconomics, Development Economics, Labour Economics, the Green Economy, and Life Cycle Assessment. In addition to his academic role, he is actively involved in non-academic responsibilities as well. His research interests encompass Labour Economics, Sustainability Transitions, Social Dialogue, Social Life Cycle Assessment, and related areas. Dr. Ghosh has published in reputed journals and presented his research at both national and international conferences.

Tanmay Awasthi

I am a multidisciplinary designer, educator, and creator with a comprehensive academic and professional journey. I hold a degree in Animation and Multimedia from the Birla Institute of Technology and a Master’s in Toy and Game Design from the National Institute of Design, Gandhinagar. My career has been enriched through various roles, including animator, UX designer, design research consultant, and artist, across multiple organizations.

 My approach to design is rooted in the belief that it is inherently multidisciplinary, demanding a broad spectrum of domain-specific knowledge to drive innovation and create impactful solutions. I advocate for a shift from a user-centric design paradigm to a more human-centric perspective. This approach emphasizes the holistic understanding of individuals within their broader social and environmental contexts, acknowledging the intricate interplay between technology and human experience. In the face of rapid technological advancements and the emerging challenges they present, I emphasize the importance of integrating sustainability into the design process. This involves considering not just the immediate user needs but also the long-term impacts on the environment and society. I believe that designers have a critical role in shaping a sustainable future by embedding eco-friendly practices and solutions into their work.

 My research interests are deeply focused on the intersection of healthcare, games, and artificial intelligence (AI). In healthcare, I explore how design can improve patient experiences and outcomes through innovative solutions and user-centered approaches. In the realm of games, I investigate how they can be harnessed for educational and therapeutic purposes, leveraging their immersive and interactive qualities. My work with AI revolves around designing intelligent systems that enhance human capabilities and address complex challenges, ensuring that technological advancements are aligned with ethical considerations and human values. Through my diverse expertise and research, I aim to contribute to meaningful advancements in these fields, fostering innovation that is both impactful and responsible.

Dr Jivitesh Patil

Dr. Jivitesh Patil is a dedicated philosopher with a Ph.D. from the University of Mumbai, awarded in March 2023. His research areas are philosophy of mind, philosophy of language and meaning. With nine years of teaching experience, he served as an Assistant Professor at various esteemed institutions including 5 years, at the department of philosophy, University of Mumbai. His expertise encompasses, Philosophy of mind, analytic philosophy, Epistemology (Indian and western), Consciousness (Indian and western), Indian Ethics, Shramana Tradition, Metaphysics, Empiricism, Yoga Epistemology, David Hume, J Krishnamurti , Wittgenstein. A prolific author, he has published 11 papers in renowned journals and presented papers at national and international conferences.

Shoeb Ahmad

Shoeb Ahmad is an experienced academic professional currently serving as an Assistant Professor at RV University. With a solid background in computer science and engineering education, he has previously worked as an Assistant Professor at Jain University for 2.5 years and at Shri Ram Memorial University for 5 years. Throughout his teaching career, Shoeb has imparted knowledge in several key subjects, including Design and Analysis of Algorithms, Data Structures, C Programming, Object-Oriented Programming in Java, Theory of Computation, Compiler Design, and Discrete Mathematics and Graph Theory.

In addition to his academic responsibilities, Shoeb has also ventured into digital education by launching a YouTube channel (THE GATEHUB) focused on the subjects he teaches. His channel has gained significant traction, boasting over 50k subscribers and accumulating 15 million views, making him a respected educator both in the classroom and online.

Sasikala J

I am an Assistant Professor in the School of Computer Science and Engineering at RV University, Bengaluru. My academic journey is marked by significant contributions to the Finite Element Method (FEM), particularly in developing higher order curved triangular elements. These elements have been proven to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of solving complex linear and nonlinear partial differential equations. I am currently nearing the completion of my Ph.D. at Amrita University, Bangalore, with research focusing on automating mesh generation for convex and concave domains using MATLAB. My teaching experience spans multiple institutions, where I have consistently delivered excellent results in subjects like Engineering Mathematics and Numerical Methods.

 Additionally, I have a strong record of academic achievements, including receiving Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Senior Research Fellowship (SRF) from the National Board for Higher Mathematics (NBHM). I am also a Life member of ISTE. I participated in a short course on “Linear and Non-linear Finite Element Analysis with Programming” organized by the Department of Civil Engineering at BITS-Pilani, Hyderabad campus, in 2023, which further enhanced my expertise in FEM.

Dr. N. Gopinathan

Gopinathan N is an Associate Professor at School of Business, RV University. He holds Doctoral Degree (Ph.D.) in Management Science from Sathyabama University, where his thesis focused on the “Role of Foreign Institutional Investors in the Indian stock market.” He has 28 years of teaching experience in various educational institutions. He has teaching experience in the area of Accounting, Finance and Strategic Management.

He specializes in Accounting and Finance, Human Resource Management, and Strategic Management. His prolific research output includes numerous publications in esteemed journals. Notable works include studies on digitalization in rural banking, professional outlook in the post-COVID-19 HR environment, the impact of ethics on corporate governance, cyber law in net banking, behavioral psychology of debt holders, investors’ financial goals, and the performance of nationalized banks. His research contributions are widely recognized and often published in Scopus-indexed journals. He has chaired several international conferences, reflecting his leadership and expertise in business and management education. He has conducted workshops and training programs and conducted various training programs in the area of human rights for Women, Police personnel and non-governmental organizations (NGOs).

Curriculum development and syllabus framing as per the needs of changing academic scenario is his another forte. His involvement in organizing national and international events on campus is noteworthy. He is an active member of the Rotary Club of Madras Temple City.

Ginu George

She is a proud alumna of the London College of Fashion, where she earned an MA in Fashion Design, and NIFT Bangalore, where she completed her B Des in Fashion. With experience in design and communication for renowned brands like JW Anderson, she specialises in working with a diverse range of materials, including glass, industrial mesh, and traditional Indian textiles. Notably, she co-partnered with London-based Indian artist Harri KS, renowned for his innovative use of inflatable latex in fashion, inspired by pneumatic structures. Together, they showcased their work during London Fashion Week A/W 20, and 23 receiving global recognition in publications such as Vogue, ID, and BBC. Additionally, she collaborated with Channapatna artisans to bring traditional crafts to the international stage at London Fashion Week. Her collaborative efforts also include partnerships with leading mesh manufacturer Cadish, glass artist Rashmi Dey, and various traditional Indian craft clusters. As an educator, she has spent five years teaching visual and mixed media communication in Fashion at the Indian Institute of Art and Design (IIAD) in Delhi. She has also served as a jury member for institutions such as NIFT and O.P. Jindal Global University. Through her teaching, she thrives to inspire new perspectives, dedicated to making a meaningful impact in the design world.

With expertise in book retail on the Amazon USA marketplace and a strong foundation in UI/UX design and writing, I bring a unique perspective to understanding the consumer journey. Professional Experience Before my academic role, I was instrumental in designing the website and application for India’s first digital clothing brand, Bittenapple by Adamevefamily, consulting on its execution and preparing it to go live. My passion for storytelling and creating compelling narratives that elevate user experiences continues to drive her work, resonating with diverse audiences. I have extensive experience in the design industry, having worked with prominent e-commerce companies such as Amazon, Flipkart, Ajio, and Myntra. Guest Lecturing and Industry Insight Recognized for her expertise, I have been invited to deliver guest lectures on UI/UX in digital marketing, where I share valuable insights with students and professionals alike. Sukriti Saha is a distinguished alumna of the National Institute of Design (NID), Ahmedabad, where he completed his Master’s in Film and Video Communication. Her career reflects a rich tapestry of experiences, having collaborated with esteemed agencies such as JWT, Bates, ABP (Anandabazar Patrika), and Capgemini’s Marketing Communication team and Associate senior faculty of National institute of Design (andhra pradesh). His expertise spans both national and international projects, allowing him to deeply understand diverse design and project requirements. Sukriti’s creative journey includes writing three Bengali full-length feature films, showcasing his storytelling prowess. Additionally, he has directed a variety of short films, documentaries, and advertising films, further establishing his as a versatile and accomplished filmmaker. With a keen eye for detail and a passion for visual storytelling, Sukriti continues to make significant contributions to the world of film and video communication.
