I’m a researcher with a deep interest in how design shapes both individual and collective identities. My work explores how visual elements and interactive experiences help tell stories and construct meaning across different platforms. I’m particularly fascinated by how creative practices in photography, filmmaking, and storytelling influence the way we see ourselves and each other. One of the core areas I focus on is how design can mediate cultural and social discourse, especially for marginalised voices and social justice movements. I believe that design has the power to challenge dominant narratives and amplify voices that are often overlooked. This is something I explore through my work in activism, where I examine how design strategies can inspire change and promote more inclusive, transformative experiences. I’m also passionate about how we teach design. In my research, I explore how cross-disciplinary thinking can be integrated into education to help emerging designers develop a critical, socially-conscious approach to storytelling and creative practice. Ultimately, I’m driven by the idea that design isn’t just about aesthetics or function—it’s a powerful tool for shaping how we understand the world and each other. Through my work, I hope to contribute to more equitable, inclusive, and thought-provoking media practices.
