Research Summary

Urmila M Sis a passionate teacher with over eight years of experience in academia. She is also an ex-banker having assumed various roles during her stint at State Bank of India. She is pursuing her PhD from the Department of Commerce, Manipal Academy of Higher Education on the topic “Financial preparedness of working women for their post-retirement life. A qualitative cross-sectional inquiry.” She is passionate about exploring new pedagogies, techniques, and technologies and constantly endeavors to make learning exciting and interesting. This has led to her attending several trainings, workshops, and courses, to train herself to make learning inclusive and accessible. She is also interested in making the insights of her research public and converting them into actionable plans that could help women become financially aware and independent.
