Mr. Parth Sharma is an Assistant Professor at the School of Law, RV University. He specializes in Forensic Psychology, Criminology and Victimology. He has over 5 years of industry experience in the domains of investigations, investigative and social research, counselling, content development and marketing. He has worked with the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights, New Delhi in the Child Labour vertical and the Directorate of Forensic Sciences, Gandhinagar in the Forensic Psychology division. He is trained for the role of mediator in Restorative Justice at National Institute of Criminology and Forensic Sciences, New Delhi and has delivered lectures in several government colleges in Lucknow on Criminology and Forensic Psychology. Along with working in the digital forensics domain he has also served as Associate Area Director at Toastmasters International. He has also trained various IPS officers, Central Vigilance Committee officers, research scholars and students on Forensic Psychological Investigative instruments (Polygraph, BEOS, LVA, SDS) at the National Forensic Sciences University. His research interests revolve around the integration of Victimology, Criminology and Forensic Psychology.

Neuro Signature Profiling of Traumatic v/s Non-traumatic Events The research is based on quantifying suffering through Brain Electrical Oscillation Signature (BEOS) a Forensic Psychological Investigative Technique. Subjects were administered BEOS pertaining to their traumatic and non-traumatic experiences and their neuro profiles were compared. Observing a significant difference in the brain waves while remembering a traumatic or a non-traumatic event, the research concluded that victimization/suffering/trauma can be scientifically measured through BEOS and that all victims of crimes should be administered BEOS to guide victim support and investigations in the right direction.
