Prof. Sharfas is an Assistant Professor at the School of Allied and Healthcare Professions, RV University, Bengaluru. He holds a B.Sc. (Hons) in Medical Technology in Radiography from AIIMS Bhubaneswar, an M.Sc. in Cardiovascular Imaging and Endovascular Technologies from AIIMS New Delhi, and an M.A. in Psychology from IGNOU. His interdisciplinary expertise bridges advanced medical imaging, endovascular procedures, and psychological insights, fostering a comprehensive approach to patient care and education.
Beyond teaching, Prof. Sharfas has contributed to research initiatives, including his master’s thesis titled “”Comparison of Self-Navigated Coronary MR Angiography with CT Coronary Angiography in Patients with Congenital Heart Disease.”” This study, conducted in collaboration with Siemens Healthineers R&D, aimed to reduce dependency on CT imaging for patients with congenital heart disease, particularly benefiting those with iodine contrast contraindications.
