The School of Liberal Arts and Sciences (SoLAS) offers unique opportunities to acquire domain knowledge and generic skills enhancing students’ capacity to face the professional and personal challenges of our time. Our teaching/learning is rigorous, interdisciplinary and future oriented. Our students have opportunities to participate in a range of curricular and extra-curricular activities to acquire competencies and acquire facility for navigating real world professional and personal challenges. The learners are given wide-ranging opportunities to design their unique educational journey by choosing among a large basket of major, minor and elective courses. Our experienced, passionate faculty are drawn from the best of the universities and organisations. Our national and international collaborations provide opportunities for students to engage in internships and other collaborative activities enhancing and complementing their classroom learnings. Our pedagogy is aimed at developing thoughtful and creative individuals striving for excellence in their chosen fields of specialisation.

India Immersion Programme
India Immersion Programme (IIP) is a mandatory immersive residential programme organized for the first-year students during the summer. It provides an opportunity to step away from the inevitable routines and expectations of urban life and immerse themselves in a way of life that allows a deep connection with nature, and a reconnection with silence, reflection, and intuition.

Foundation Year
Our innovative liberal arts foundation year is designed to achieve two key objectives: cultivating a wide range of graduate skills and providing meaningful exposure to interdisciplinary learning.
- First Semester: Focuses on developing essential graduate competencies such as critical thinking, effective reading, academic writing, public speaking, debating and practical skills for navigating complexity, uncertainty, and ambiguity in professional and personal settings.
- Second Semester: Introduces students to key themes and debates across disciplines, empowering them to make well-informed choices about their major and minor areas of study.
This unique foundation year provides students with a strong intellectual and practical base for future academic and career success.
