  • Awards & Achievements

I have a Master’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering and I am a Department topper from Tezpur Central University. I was fortunate enough to be an undergraduate visiting scholar at Sheffield Hallam University, United Kingdom, and during that stint, I closely worked with Prof. Jims Marching, from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, SHU, UK. I also worked as a Junior Research Fellow at IIT Guwahati, where I got experience in the field of Microacrchitectural Simulation. I worked as an Embedded Engineer Trainee intern at Larsen and Tubro Technology Services during my Masters’s course. I was a recipient of the Dewang Mehta Excellence Award during my second year of graduation. I am very keen on learning and exploring new technologies. My research interests are basically computer architecture, the Internet of Things, and networking. Apart from that, I am completely open to other domains that have promising research directions.

Besides all the above academics, I have a bachelor’s degree in Indian Classical Music and I am an avid lover of Indian classical and folk music.

  • 1)In modern processors, prefetching is an essential component for hiding long-latency memory accesses. In modern computer systems, memory latency has been struggling to keep up with computing performance. While caches can help Since we can exploit spatial and temporal locality, there are many workloads that have large data sets that do not fit in cache, and instead, they have to be dependent on hardware and/or software prefetchers to hide main memory latency.
  • 2)In my prior research, I tried to explore the various kinds of prefetchers and found out that most of the existing prefetchers only detect regular access patterns, which are not always favorable in all kinds of workloads.
  • 3)I proposed a graph-based prefetching scheme with a simulated output that will predict both regular and irregular patterns with a confidence value, thereby helping to improve both coverage and accuracy, eventually increasing overall performance.
  • Selected for an overseas internship by DTE, Govt of Assam

I was selected by the Directorate of Technical Education, Govt of Assam for a fully sponsored overseas internship at Sheffield Hallam University, United Kingdom. A total of seven students were selected from all the Govt Engineering Colleges of Assam and I was one of them.

  • Recipient of Dewang Mehta Excellence award

I was selected for the Dewang Mehta Excellence award, sponsored by NASCOM for being amongst the top three in my department in the third year of graduation.

  • Volunteer certification

I worked as a volunteer on the organizing committee of the 3rd ISEA International Conference on Security and Privacy(ISEA-ISAP-2020), organized by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, IIT Guwahati from 27th February- 1st March 2020.
