My journey as a teacher in Engineering started in the year 1999 with an aim to enrich students with a strong foundation and skills in Computer Science and Engineering. A turning point in my professional career was in 2009, taking charge as a professor and then as Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at a reputed institution. I was successful in organizing an International Conference on Signal and Image Processing in 2014 in the capacity of Program Chair. Invited resource persons and participants round the globe and technical papers accepted were published in IEEE. A faculty development program sponsored by DST-VGST in 2011 was a successful event, where all faculty members nationwide were invited to participate in hands on session on deep architectures to pattern recognition and computer vision analysis. At the reputed institution, as Head of the Department from 2015, I was instrumental in building the department as a learning echo system with good, fascinating, and dedicated teachers. I had the responsibility in developing IT infrastructure for the institution working with vendors from technical evaluation to release of purchase orders on required equipment to all the departments in the institution. A well-organized student life cycle was in place through the college management system and learning management system. In addition to academics, students were supported to prototype the innovative ideas funded by DST-NEWGEN IEDC. As add-onto 2 academics, I was successful in connecting institutions to the outside world through MOU with Industries to set up a centre of excellence and foreign University to facilitate students with internships and projects.
