I have a Master’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering and I am a Department topper from Tezpur Central University. I was fortunate enough to be an undergraduate visiting scholar at Sheffield Hallam University, United Kingdom, and during that stint, I closely worked with Prof. Jims Marching, from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, SHU, UK. I also worked as a Junior Research Fellow at IIT Guwahati, where I got experience in the field of Microacrchitectural Simulation. I worked as an Embedded Engineer Trainee intern at Larsen and Tubro Technology Services during my Masters’s course. I was a recipient of the Dewang Mehta Excellence Award during my second year of graduation. I am very keen on learning and exploring new technologies. My research interests are basically computer architecture, the Internet of Things, and networking. Apart from that, I am completely open to other domains that have promising research directions.
Besides all the above academics, I have a bachelor’s degree in Indian Classical Music and I am an avid lover of Indian classical and folk music.

Dr. T. Hongray has a Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics from the University of Hyderabad and did his post-doctoral studies at IIIT-B. Prior to joining RV University, he was in Myanmar from 2017 as faculty at Myanmar Institute of Information Technology (MIIT), Mandalay, as part of the Indian team in mentoring and running the academic programs during the initial years of the Institute which was established under the aegis of the Indo-Myanmar Friendship Project.
He is actively involved in research in the areas of complex systems, nonlinear oscillations in neuronal bursting signals, single bubble sonoluminescence (SBSL), bifurcation theories of dynamical systems and computational physics and has published research papers in these fields. He is also very passionate about and actively exploring the area of quantum computation both at a research level and as an accessible course for beginners who want to get into it at the undergraduate level. Besides that, he has an interest in the area of probabilistic robotics, swarm dynamics, and the theory of computer graphics.
Having taught physics, robotics and computer graphics at an undergraduate level and having interacted with students closely, he strongly believes in a teaching approach that encourages healthy collaboration and constant discussions between students and teachers thereby effectively removing the boundary that exist between students and teachers in many traditional educational systems.
