I am a multidisciplinary designer, educator, and creator with a comprehensive academic and professional journey. I hold a degree in Animation and Multimedia from the Birla Institute of Technology and a Master’s in Toy and Game Design from the National Institute of Design, Gandhinagar. My career has been enriched through various roles, including animator, UX designer, design research consultant, and artist, across multiple organizations.
My approach to design is rooted in the belief that it is inherently multidisciplinary, demanding a broad spectrum of domain-specific knowledge to drive innovation and create impactful solutions. I advocate for a shift from a user-centric design paradigm to a more human-centric perspective. This approach emphasizes the holistic understanding of individuals within their broader social and environmental contexts, acknowledging the intricate interplay between technology and human experience. In the face of rapid technological advancements and the emerging challenges they present, I emphasize the importance of integrating sustainability into the design process. This involves considering not just the immediate user needs but also the long-term impacts on the environment and society. I believe that designers have a critical role in shaping a sustainable future by embedding eco-friendly practices and solutions into their work.
My research interests are deeply focused on the intersection of healthcare, games, and artificial intelligence (AI). In healthcare, I explore how design can improve patient experiences and outcomes through innovative solutions and user-centered approaches. In the realm of games, I investigate how they can be harnessed for educational and therapeutic purposes, leveraging their immersive and interactive qualities. My work with AI revolves around designing intelligent systems that enhance human capabilities and address complex challenges, ensuring that technological advancements are aligned with ethical considerations and human values. Through my diverse expertise and research, I aim to contribute to meaningful advancements in these fields, fostering innovation that is both impactful and responsible.
