Course Overview

One of the largest industry-specific employers, India’s Film and Entertainment industry is expected to grow between US$ 55-70 Billion by 2030. The B.Sc. (Hons) in Filmmaking program offers comprehensive foundational training to work or teach in film, television, OTT, entertainment and the creative industries. Students will learn practical skills in existing and emerging genres of filmmaking, while being exposed to the creative, cultural, historical and technical aspects of film making and film thinking.

The B.Sc. (Hons) in Filmmaking at RV University is designed to empower students:
  • To acquire knowledge about the various fields of Filmmaking
  • To gain skills in different aspects of Filmmaking
  • To build networks and understand the business of entertainment, production, and distribution.
  • To showcase a portfolio in select categories and genres of filmmaking.
  • To create a short feature film for Graduation.

A successful filmmaking graduate from the school will have the opportunity to join the film and entertainment industry in any of the following career destinations, based on their expertise, skills gained, and specialisation undertaken.
